Thank you to "Roses Only" for supporting Barnardo's. The box's of roses donated to our Royal Albert Hall Young Supporters Concert in June 2007 were wonderful additions to our raffle prize list. The Raffle raised over £5,000 and the night itself over £35, 000. We gave one box to our celebrity host which saved us money yet again. We hope to work together again in the future!
Barnardo's works directly with over 110,000 children, young people and their families every year. We run 383 vital projects across the UK, including counselling for children who have been abused, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups.
Every Barnardo's project is different but each believes that every child and young person deserves the best start in life, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. We believe that the lives of all children should be free from poverty, abuse and discrimination. We do this because we believe that every child deserves the chance to transform their lives and fulfil their potential.
For every £1 donated, 81p goes directly to helping vulnerable children, young people and their families. If property development and retail shop costs are excluded, this rises to 94p.

“On behalf of The Children’s Society I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Roses Only for their warmth and generosity in donating 350 £10 vouchers and 3 dozen beautiful long stem roses to our Annual Ball 16th June 2005. These gifts will not only provide a sense of beauty and class to the evening but also sincerely help us in raising funds for those disadvantaged children who so need our support.”

The NSPCC
Not all childhoods are happy; children suffering in silence can feel frightened and alone. It's a shocking fact that at least one child in the UK dies every week as a direct result of cruelty and neglect. The NSPCC want children to know that talking about abuse of any kind can help them feel less lonely and more importantly, talking can help the abuse stop.
At Roses Only, we're thrilled to be working with the NSPCC. We strongly believe in all children having the opportunity to realise their potential free from the fear of cruelty and abuse. Supporting the NSPCC's efforts to end child abuse is one way we can help achieve that vision for society.
The NSPCC's purpose is to end cruelty to children. Their vision is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential. They seek to achieve cultural, social and political change - influencing legislation, policy, practice, attitudes and behaviours and delivering services for the benefit of children and young people. There are now 180 NSPCC teams and services, working with young people and their families, which have received 40,000 requests for help in the past five years. The depth and variety of the work the NSPCC does to help children and families includes providing face to face support at young people's centre's and within schools, advice via the telephone and internet, and investigating organised and complex child abuse.
Their four key objectives are: · To mobilise everyone to take action to end cruelty to children · To give children the help, support and environment they need to stay safe from cruelty · To find ways of working with communities to keep children safe from cruelty · To be, and be seen as, someone to turn to for children and young people
The NSPCC believes that we all have a responsibility to take action to end cruelty to children.
